Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of deli-meat and cold cuts. Yet, not to forget that its a "processed" meat, with all the chemicals and procedures added to or done upon it.
I do agree that its delicious, and a great source of protein, but I do know that it isn't the healthiest option.
This recipe serves a great simple way to replace, at least partially, part of my the cold-cuts consumption, providing a healthier, tastier, cheaper, and more fresh alternative.
Ingredients:
- Chicken leftovers
- Tomato paste
- Mustard
- Salt
- Pepper
- Dried Rosemary
Instructions:
- Put all the ingredients into a food processor
- Pulse until you reach the desired consistency (from rough, up to smooth paté-like texture)
- You may play with the taste and consistency as you want, by adding any kind of other herb, spices, mayonnaise, olive oil, or any other kind of meat.
